Communications Tower Demolition

The City of Aurora invites qualified contractors to bid on the demolition and disposal of a 180 foot tall, triangular self-support communications tower located at 2680 Church Road in Aurora.

The face width of the tower is 4.5 feet at the top and 15 feet at the base (see Tower Section Geometry (tnxTower) report from ETS, PLLC included in the attachments). The base bid will include the removal of the tower to the top of foundations (approximately 2 feet above grade), with a bid alternative to excavate and remove the three reinforced concrete foundations (3 feet by 3 feet) to a depth of approximately 5 feet below existing grade. All items connected to the tower (such as antennas, dishes, etc.) will be deactivated and disconnected prior to commencement of demolition and shall be disposed of as part of this contract.
