Description

The McConnell AFB Construction Industry Day is scheduled for August 14, 2025, at the Robert J. Dole Community Center at McConnell AFB. This is a crucial event for contractors interested in competing for future construction opportunities at the base.

The construction-focused Industry Day will provide detailed information regarding MAFB construction requirements and solicitation efforts underway. We will delve into the specific needs and expectations for MAFB contractors, ensuring potential bidders have a clear understanding of what will be required. In addition, there will be discussion about our upcoming 2026 Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC). We will also offer insights into potential future construction projects and the diverse types of work anticipated at McConnell AFB in the coming years.

The agenda includes informative briefings from various organizations. These sessions will cover critical topics such as compliance with the Davis-Bacon Act, base badging procedures for personnel access, stringent cybersecurity requirements, and overviews of various McConnell AFB organizations and their operational needs. This will provide a holistic view of the construction environment at McConnell.

The afternoon session offers a valuable opportunity for contractors to directly engage with McConnell AFB personnel. Attendees will have the chance to deliver concise 15-minute capabilities briefings, highlighting their company's expertise and relevant experience. A tour of McConnell AFB and its facilities will be conducted, providing several opportunities for contractors to get a firsthand look at the base's infrastructure and potential project locations. For those who will be giving a capabilities briefing, please provide any material that will be used during your presentation in your registration to the MAFB team by August 5th, as well as bringing five physical copies for the day of the briefing.

To ensure adequate space and participation, a maximum of three representatives per contractor are permitted to attend. Subcontractors are encouraged to attend the MAFB Construction Industry Day. Please complete the Registration & Access Request form and sign up via the provided Sign-Up Genius link to schedule your company's capabilities briefing (Only prime contractors will be allowed to give a capabilities briefing). If there are any questions or topics you would want the McConnell team to cover in this industry, please provide that information with your registration. Please limit your questions to no more than five so we can focus on preparing your most important topics. All registration information must be submitted by 2pm CT on August 5, 2024. We look forward to seeing you there.

Please submit all registration and questions to 2d Lt William Johnson at william.johnson.237@us.af.mil, Marcus Tucker at marcus.tucker.7@us.af.mil, and Christina Muth at christina.muth.1@us.af.mil
