Project Description: The City of Olathe Harold Street Wastewater Plant is seeking proposals for the purchase of a new high-rate trickling filter rotary distributor to replace the existing equipment that has reached the end of its service life. The existing equipment has undergone multiple emergency repairs to remain operational and is the only unit at this plant that can convert ammonia into nitrate. The rotary mechanism is fed at a constant rate of 8.2 MGD, has two distributor arms, does not have orifice plates, and is completely hydraulically driven. See the attached drawings for more detail on the current mechanism.
