INVITATION FOR BIDS
IFB#26-20 CENTRAL FIRE STATION-BEDFORD STREET FAÇADE RESTORATION
Bids are being solicited for the supply of Central Fire Station-Bedford Street Facade Restoration
for the City of Fall River City Operations, in accordance with the listed specifications.
Beginning Wednesday, March 25, 2026, the solicitation packages may be obtained
electronically through the Purchasing Department via the City's e-Procurement Portal,
https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/fallriverma.
Sealed Filed Sub-Bids must be received no later than 2:00pm on Thursday, April 23rd, 2026
via the City's e-procurement portal. Questions concerning this bid solicitation must be submitted
in writing via the City’s e-Procurement Portal, by 12:00 pm on Tuesday, April 21st, 2026.
Sealed bids must be received no later than 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 30, 2026, via the
City's e-Procurement Portal, https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/fallriverma. The bids will
be opened, witnessed, and results made public.
All bid prices submitted in response to this Invitation for Bid must remain firm following IFB#26-
20 bid opening. Questions concerning this bid solicitation must be submitted in writing, by 12:00
pm on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, via the City's e-Procurement Portal. Written responses will be
emailed to all bidders on record as having received the request for IFB#26-20.
A voluntary pre-bid meeting will be held at the location of 165 Bedford St Fall River, MA 02720
on Wednesday, April 8th,2026 at 10:00am To sign up please email

MBE/WBE businesses are encouraged to participate. Our goals are as follows: 4.2% MBE/8.8%
WBE for construction and 6.6% MBE/15% WBE for design. General Bidder needs to be
DCAMM certified in Historic Masonry. Filed Sub-Bidders need to be DCAMM certified in
Miscellaneous & Ornamental Iron Work and Metal Windows.
OSHA Training is required. A bid deposit of 5% of the value of the total bid is required. As well
as a payment and performance bond of 100%.The bid is subject to Massachusetts Prevailing
Wage . Also, a contractor evaluation will be completed by the awarding authority.
The City of Fall River reserves the right to reject any/all bids when deemed in the best
interest of the City of Fall River. The City of Fall River shall be the sole judge of equivalency
and acceptability. Any deviation from the specifications must be clearly outlined and explained
in detail. Otherwise, it will be considered that services offered are in strict compliance with the
specifications and the successful vendor shall be held responsible accordingly. Time of delivery
is part of the bid and is very important. The required delivery date indicated is at the point of
destination, and is stated in business days. If the indicated date cannot be met or a date is not
indicated in the specifications, the bidder shall state its best delivery time. City Operations on
behalf of the City of Fall River, intends to award a contract within thirty (30) working days of the
bid opening.
