RFP 26-1014 - Building Inspection Services City of Lakeway, Texas Date: September 14, 2026
This Addendum forms part of the Request for Proposal (RFP) documents for RFP 26-1014 -
Building Inspection Services and modifies the original solicitation as noted below. All other
requirements of the RFP remain unchanged.
CLARIFICATION - Background Verification Requirement
The City received the following question:
RFP 26-1014 requires proposers to submit "background verifications" for all personnel who will
perform inspection services. Could you please clarify what documentation the City requires to
satisfy the background verification requirement?
City Response:
For the purpose of this RFP, "background verifications" refers to documentation demonstrating
that each inspector assigned to perform work under this contract has successfully completed a
standard employment background check.
The City will accept any of the following forms of documentation:
* A criminal background check report from a recognized screening provider;
* A letter or certificate from the proposer's Human Resources department confirming
completion of a background check;
* A state-issued background clearance used for building inspection or code enforcement
roles;
* A contractor-signed statement certifying that all assigned personnel have passed a
background check, including the screening provider and date of completion.
The City does not require a specific format or type of background check. The requirement is simply
to demonstrate that all personnel performing inspections have completed a professional
background screening appropriate for public-facing inspection work.
This clarification does not change any evaluation criteria or submission requirements.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT
Proposers shall acknowledge receipt of this Addendum in their Proposal submission with a
one-page addendum acknowledgment before Tab 1, Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
