I. ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
ASBESTOS & UNIVERSAL WASTE ABATEMENT,
DEMOLITION, AND SITE RESTORATION
GREENE COUNTY JAIL & ADMINISTRATION BUILDING
Sealed bids will be received by the Board of County Commissioners of Greene County, Ohio, 35 Greene
St., Xenia, OH 45385, until 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 08, 2026. At such time, the bids will be opened
and read aloud. All bids must be submitted in accordance with the requirements outlined in the instructions
to bidders.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 AM on December 22, 2025, at the Project site located
at 77 & 105 East Market Street, Xenia, Ohio 45385. Representatives from Patriot Engineering and
Environmental, Inc. (Patriot), acting on behalf of the Greene County and the Engineer/Architect, will be
present to discuss the Project. The pre-bid meeting is mandatory. Only two (2) representatives from
each Contractor will be permitted for the pre-bid meeting and must pre-register by 3:00 PM on
December 19, 2025, with Greene County Department of
Development
at
contact.development@greenecountyohio.gov. Please provide the company name and the names of
attendees with your request to attend the pre-bid meeting. The entire structure proposed for abatement
and demolition will be available for inspection from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Additional inspection time may
be made available by appointment and by approval with Greene County and officials from the Greene
County Sherriff’s Office.
Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes, properly identified with the Bidder's name, contact number,
bid opening date, and a statement that it is a sealed bid covering the materials or services for which the
bid is submitted. Bids shall be addressed to:

The Greene County reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive informalities or
irregularities in the proposals received. The basis for the Contract award shall be based on a Best Value
Selection for this project. As such, Greene County intends to use a selection process for services where
total cost, as well as other non-cost factors, are considered in the evaluation, selection, and final award of
