The Town of Truro invites sealed bids from qualified vendors for Cemetery Lawn Mowing Services for 3 seasons from May 1 – Oct 1 (one year contract with an option to extend for two years).

Bids are due on or before April 15, 2026 @ 1PM at the office of the Town Manager – 24 Town Hall Rd. Truro, MA 02666.  Bids will be opened immediately and read out loud.

The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informality contained therein, and to award the contract as decided to be in the best interest of the Town of Truro.

All bids for this project are subject to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 30B as amended. This bid is subject to Massachusetts prevailing wage requirements pursuant to M.G.L. c. 149, §§ 26-27.

IFB Cemetery Lawn Mowing Services
The following items are listed in this Addendum:
1. Truro Massachusetts prevailing wage for laborers is determined by Zone 2
classification schedules. As of April 2026, the schedule total hourly rates including
base wage and benefits is $71.67 effective through June 1, 2026.
2. Lawns must be mowed in advance of Memorial Day, July 4th , and Labor day.
The Cemetery Commission is flexible as long as once the mowing begins, you
work to finish it, weather permitting, so that all the cemeteries are mowed on the
same approximate schedule.
3. As stated in the bid documents professional liability is required to be included in the
insurance requirements.
