Description

The Pacific Southwest Research Station (PSW), Redwood Sciences Laboratory – Arcata, CA intends to issue a firm fixed price, sole source award to Pacific Coast Trane Controls, 310 Soquel Way Sunnyvale, CA 94085.





This procurement is being conducted under FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1). To solicit to another source would cause unacceptable disruption to the continuity operations and could pose potential Health and Safety risks due to a non-functioning HVAC system. This work is required to replace the existing, non-operational HVAC controls system which manage the currently installed Trane HVAC system. Soliciting another company would lead to a potential disruption of HVAC systems and due to no other systems being compatible with the existing Trane system due to proprietary hardware and software. Additionally, the use of any other equipment or software would necessitate the total replacement of the existing HVAC system.





The anticipated award date is August 27, 2025. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 238220 and the size standard is $22,000,000.00. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement was based market research. A solicitation will not be issued. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
