Grant Devine Flood Passage Improvement - Design Consultant
Synopsis:

WSA intends to engage a Design Consultant Professional Services for project planning and design, field investigations, geotechnical investigation, environmental permitting, feasibility design, detailed design, construction procurement assistance and construction support for the Grant Devine Dam Flood Passage Improvement project.

The selected respondent will act as the engineer of record for WSA for the Grant Devine Dam Flood Passage Improvement project. WSA is approved for financial support under Infrastructure Canada’s (INFC) Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP) for this project. The Respondent needs to have an in-depth knowledge of Design-Bid-Build project governance.

The successful respondent must have general engineering design and construction experience delivering projects between $50M and $100M and of similar scope to this project. Preference to have the successful respondent to have relevant experience in successfully delivering railway, bridge and heavy civil construction projects.

The successful respondent will be required to have significant interaction with the major industry stakeholder, Canadian Pacific Kansas City railway (CPKC). Peter Lucas Project Management are the approved Project Manager on the Owner’s Team, and are representing both WSA and CPKC. WSA and CPKC are involved with all design reviews and approvals. Their input and approvals are required prior to continuing to the next phase of design.

WSA is a Treasury Board Crown corporation within the meaning of The Crown Corporations Act, 1993 (Saskatchewan) that is governed by The Water Security Agency Act (Saskatchewan). WSA is responsible for water management in the Province of Saskatchewan, which includes managing the Province’s water supply, protecting water quality, ensuring safe drinking water and the treatment of wastewater, reducing flood and drought damage, protecting aquatic habitat, and managing dams and related supply channels.
