Summary

The purpose of this RFQ is to identify and select qualified Offerors to procure, assemble, and distribute Safe Sleep Kits and Sleep Sack Kits (Kits) for local partners who provide safe sleep education to caregivers across the state. Contents of Kits are defined in Part 1.

The mission of DCY's Cribs for Kids Subgrant Program is to prevent infant sleep-related deaths by educating parents and caregivers on safe sleep practices for their babies and by providing Safe Sleep Kits including portable cribs and wearable blankets to families who otherwise cannot access a safe place for their babies to sleep.

To achieve this mission, DCY collaborates with local health departments, community-based organizations, and hospital systems that provide safe sleep education and distribute cribs directly to caregivers in need. DCY seeks an Offeror capable of sourcing AAP and CPSC  ( AAP Policy Statement - June 21, 2022 and CPSC standards within 16 CFR Part 1112 , 1130 & 1236 )assembling and distributing Kits statewide; and developing and maintaining an online ordering and tracking portal that allows authorized local partners to order and track Safe Sleep Kits directly.
This procurement advances DCY's broader Maternal and Infant Wellness strategy to reduce infant mortality and improve access to safe infant sleep education and environments.
