This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. Moody AFB is looking for a company that can conduct the replacement of multiple shade structures on Moody AFB. The damages were incurred during Hurricane Helene, necessitating the demolition and replacement of shade structures at our Mission Lake Playground, Child Development Center (CDC), and Outdoor Pool. The objective of the project is to restore the structural integrity, functionality, safety, and aesthetics of the shade structures at Moody AFB.
3.1 Shade Structure at Mission Lake Playground
o Material:
§ UV-resistant weatherproof fabric
§ Final color to be determined by customer
o Remove existing damaged fabric from 3-Dome Hanging Cantilever Shade that is 90'x15'x8'
o Remove existing hardware associated with the tensioning system (e.g. cables and ratchets) that is damaged and replace with new hardware
§ Ensure new hardware is tightly secured
o Install new shade framing
o No digging should be required for the replacement of the shade structure
o Contractor to provide Lull Forklift (crane) or any other equipment that will be needed to remove the damaged sunshade and replace it with a new sunshade
§ Contractor to repair any grass that is disturbed back to its original state
o Ensure that the new shade structure is taut and shows no sagging.
3.2 Four (4) Shade Structures at Child Development Center (CDC)
o Material:
§ UV-resistant weatherproof fabric
§ Final color to be determined by customer
o Sunshades:
§ Single-Post Pyramid Sunshades
§ Three (3) Sunshades have tears, and the entire sunshade will need to be replaced.
§ One (1) Sunshade was blown off and will need to have the pyramid section reattached to the post and the sunshade cloth completely replaced
o Measurements:
§ 10'x10'
§ 24-1/2'x24-1/2'
§ 18'x24'
§ 18-1/2'x27-1/2'
o Ensure the current hardware is safe to use and replace if unsafe
§ Ensure new hardware is tightly secured
o Install new shade framing if framing is bent and out of plum
o No digging should be required for the replacement of the shade structures
o Contractor to provide Lull Forklift (crane) or any other equipment that will be needed to remove the damaged sunshades and replace them with new sunshades
§ Contractor to repair any grass that is disturbed back to its original state
o Ensure that the new shade structures are taut and show no sagging.
3.3 Four (4) Shade Structures at the Outdoor Pool
o Material:
§ UV-resistant weatherproof fabric
§ Color: Blue
o Remove existing sunshades that are damaged.
§ Remove the cracked posts supporting the shade structures and any hardware that is rusted or unsafe
§ Install new galvanized hardware (e.g. ratchets, cables, and tensioners)
o Dimensions:
§ Slide Sunshade: 10'x10'
§ 4-Post Shade Structure: 90'x18'x11'
o Contractor to provide Lull Forklift (crane) or any other equipment that will be needed to remove the damaged sunshades and replace them with new sunshades
§ Contractor to repair any grass that is disturbed back to its original state
o Ensure that the new shade structures are taut and show no sagging.
o Ensure that the posts are plumb
§ Straighten out and/or resecure posts if not plumb
§ Dig around posts and reset using concrete (if necessary) to ensure they are level
Standard 1-year warranty to be provided by Contractor.
A site visit will be conducted on Thursday, June 5th @1000. Following, questions will be due Tuesday, June 10th @1000.

This is a commercial product and will be performed IAW FAR pt. 12, commercial items.
FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation - The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: item technical capability, and lowest price technically acceptable.
Bids MUST include an action plan with their submission, detailing the work to be done and how it will be accomplished.
