The City of Waco Police Department is seeking vendors to provide a turnkey targeting solution consisting of a system capable of rotating up to 30 targets. The system must allow for all targets to turn 180 degrees simultaneously, as well as for specified groups or individual targets to turn independently. The target system must be capable of securely holding standard cardboard target backers in a durable, weather-resistant frame that ensures stability during rotation. The system must also allow for the programming and execution of custom-created courses, enabling targets to turn at varying intervals based on preset sequences.
The system must support remote operation via at least one of the following: computer, laptop (e.g., Toughbook), tablet, or mobile device. Full installation and setup of the system, including all required software and updates, must be included. As the system will be outdoors at all times, it must be built to withstand extreme temperatures, rain, wind, and other environmental conditions typical of Central Texas to ensure reliable long-term operation.
The City intends to finalize the vendor selection process and award the contract to allow for the scheduling of services and installation during the final two weeks of July. Vendors shall plan for complete delivery, installation, configuration, testing, and operational readiness of the turnkey target system during this period. This specific timeframe is designated to minimize disruptions to regular training activities and ensure seamless integration of the new system into routine operations. Vendors must ensure the full scope of work, including software setup, updates, and all necessary components, is completed and fully functional within this window to meet the operational requirements of the City of Waco Police Department.
