1.0 Introduction
The City of Gallatin is seeking bids for mowing and cleaning up of nuisance
properties for the Public Works Department. Bids will be due on Friday, May 1,
2026, at 1:00 PM, in a sealed envelope clearly marked: BID: NUISANCE
MOWING AND DEBRIS CLEANUP
1.1 Scope of Work
Mowing and cleanup of nuisance properties in Gallatin.
Mowing includes use of bush hog, zero-turn mower, push mower, chain saw or
weed eater depending on conditions of properties to be brought back into codes
compliance.
Cleanup could include disposal of large and small items. Recyclable items shall
be sorted out and taken to the Gallatin Recycle Drop-off (641 Long Hollow Pike,
Gallatin, TN). Other debris shall be taken to the Sumner County Resource
Authority (625 Rappahannock Wire Rd., Gallatin, TN).
2.0 Technical Requirements
Mowing
Grass shall be cut to a minimum height of 3.5 inches
Grass, bushes, and vegetation shall be mowed and trimmed to bring
property into Codes compliance.
Any remnants of cutting grass or debris shall be blown out of the roadway
and/or drainage way and disposed of properly.
Cleanup
Garbage, refuse, and debris shall be cleaned up and disposed of to bring
property into Codes compliance.
Debris shall be transported in a manner that is safe and secure and
prevents any loose debris from escaping the vehicle/trailer.
Disposal fees will be reimbursed by the City in addition to labor costs.
Disposal fees for each property shall be kept separate.
Cleanup does not include large items that will not fit or weigh too much
for a standard pickup truck and 18’ trailer.

3.0 Contractor Requirements
3.1 Contractor shall perform work within 5 days of reception of work order.
3.2 Contractor shall provide pictures of property before performing work and
after performing work.
3.3 Pricing is good for 1 year, with contract extension up to 3 years.
4.0 Evaluation of Proposals
The City of Gallatin will award the contract to lowest responsible and responsive
bidder meeting specifications, quality, and performance standards pursuant to the
Municipal Purchasing Act of 1983. Response will be based on the following
factors:
Completeness of response
Cost
Vendor track record, including references
Quality of service
Quality of product
5.0 Contract Award
The City of Gallatin reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive
any informality found therein. The City of Gallatin will award a contract based on
evaluations described above.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT
This Professional Services Agreement (“Agreement”) is made effective as of
_______________, 20__, by and between the City of Gallatin, Tennessee (“City”) and
_________________ (“Consultant”).
RECITALS:
WHEREAS, City is a private act municipal corporation with authority to enter into
contracts. City has complied with all purchasing policies and ordinances in procuring the
services described hereunder.
WHEREAS, Consultant is a professional, skilled in the services described hereunder, and
is available and willing to perform the services, as more fully described in this Agreement
and attached exhibits.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is agreed between the parties as follows:
Section 1.
Description of Services. Consultant shall provide the professional services as more fully
outlined in the attached Exhibit A (the “Services”). In the event a conflict exists between
this Agreement and any term in Exhibit A, the terms in this Agreement shall supersede
Exhibit A.
Section 2.
Performance of Services. The manner in which the Services are to be performed and the
specific hours to be worked by the Consultant shall be determined by the Consultant. The
City will rely on the Consultant to work as many hours as may be reasonably necessary to
complete the Services in a timely and thorough manner, exercising professional due care.
Section 3.
Payment to Consultant. In exchange for the services performed hereunder, City shall pay
Consultant amounts specified in the attached Exhibit A, but in no event shall amounts due
hereunder exceed $________ in any 12-month period.
Section 4.
Term/Termination. The term of this Agreement shall begin upon execution of this
Agreement by the City. This Agreement may be terminated by either party upon seven (7)
days written notice in the event of failure to perform in accordance with the terms of this
Agreement.
In the event of termination for fault, the Consultant shall be compensated for all Services
satisfactorily performed and accepted by the City and costs incurred up to the effective
date of termination for which Consultant has not been previously compensated.
