Description / Background:
The City of Chino Hills Water System consists of (9) wells and (17) booster/hydropneumatic stations which may occasionally require evaluation and repair. The City is seeking proposals for annual Maintenance and Repair services for the City of Chino Hills’ wells, pumps, boosters, and electric motor assemblies on an on-call, as–needed, time-and-materials basis for a period of three years with the option for two additional single year extensions. Some services may include, but are not limited to, repair, removal, installation, rehabilitation, replacement of pumps, motors, well columns, base plates, lube assembly, controls, etc., and the furnishing of parts and labor in conjunction with such work.
The City's intent is to enter into a contract with one to two Contractors for the provision of these services on an as-needed basis. The contractor shall be a licensed class “A” contractor and a (C-57) Well Drilling Contractor in the State of California. The City expects that the contract value will not exceed $200,000 per year. Any and all performance pursuant to these contracts shall be on an "on-call" or "as-needed" basis. All work and general conditions shall be performed in accordance with the current Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction (the Green Book), the California Department of Public Health guidelines, the American Water Works Association (AWWA) Standards, and the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) Standards.
