Solicitation Summary

The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) is a bi-county agency and public corporation of the State of Maryland, established in 1918 to provide water supply and wastewater services to residents and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's Counties. WSSC is among the largest water and wastewater utilities in the nation, with a network of nearly 5,600 miles of freshwater pipeline and more than 5,400 miles of sewer pipeline, serving 1.8 million residents.

It is the intent of WSSC to obtain a Contractor to perform the annual inspections and recommended annual preventive maintenance (PM) on approximately 196 overhead cranes/hoists at various WSSC facilities located within Montgomery and Prince George's Counties, Maryland. The Contractor shall be required to perform a thorough annual inspection of the hoisting machinery and provide lubrication to all components requiring such. If required, the Contractor shall perform emergency repair services in order to maintain all cranes/hoists in proper operating condition, on a time and material basis. The Contractor may be required to change the oil in the cranes/hoists listed herein and perform a full-rated operational load test on the cranes and monorails located in the Chlorine Buildings listed herein.

The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, service trucks, materials (including oil and grease), tools, equipment, and appurtenances necessary for the performance and completion of this Contract, in the manner called for by the terms and conditions herein, for the specified prices shown on the pricing pages, and to the satisfaction of WSSC.
