Project Description: Notice is provided by the Township Secretary that sealed proposals will be received by the Township of Lower Merion for the following:
Glen Road Pump Station Upgrade
Contract Number: 24-39-4748-4749 General Construction; Electrical Construction
Sealed proposals shall be submitted online via the PennBid Bonfire Program (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com).
Proposals will be received until 11 am, prevailing time, Thursday, November 21, 2024, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty as specified in the Instructions to Bidders section of the Bid Document.
A Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of 100% are required. Also, a Maintenance Bond in the amount of 25% is required.
Bidders may obtain electronic copies of drawings and specifications of this project, at no cost, on the PennBid website noted above.
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 500 Glen Road, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004 on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 9 am, for all interested Bidders (https://maps.app.goo.gl/KkuWSvx3Ej4dnxMP6.
Scope of Work The work includes but is not limited to: selective demolition; temporary bypass pumping measures; retrofit and alterations for permanent bypass connection; replacement of the piping, fittings, and appurtenances for installation of owner-furnished sewage pumps, flow meter, etc, including core drilling; restoration; and incidental electrical work.
Award is planned for December 18, 2024, with Construction Notice to Proceed planned for early 2025 pending contract execution. Note, onsite construction activities planned to begin Summer / Fall 2025 pending receipt of equipment and PaDEP WQM Permit.
Detailed specifications developed by Pennoni Associates, Inc. Questions regarding the project scope shall be submitted via the “Vendor Discussions” feature in PennBid. The last day for receipt of written questions is end of business day of Friday, November 8,2024.
ATTENTION IS CALLED TO THE FACT THAT NOT LESS THAN THE MINIMUM SALARIES AND WAGES AS SET FORTH IN THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS MUST BE PAID ON THIS PROJECT, AND THAT THE CONTRACTOR MUST ENSURE THAT EMPLOYEES AND APPLICANTS FOR THE EMPLOYMENT ARE NOT DISCRIMINATED AGAINST BECAUSE OF THEIR, RACE, COLOR, RELIGIOUS CREED, ANCESTRY, AGE, SEX, NATIONAL ORIGIN, PHYSICAL OR MENTAL DISABILITY, OR BECAUSE OF A PERSON'S SEXUAL ORIENTATION, GENDER IDENTITY OR GENDER EXPRESSION.
