Work of this Contract comprises the following:
Hazardous Materials
.1 Remove asbestos-containing materials
.2 Remove other hazardous building materials
.3 Chemical removal (WHMIS/SDS compliant)
.4 Remove mercury and PCB components
Demolition and Removal
.1 Mobilization and demobilization
.2 Demolish building structures
.3 Remove underground utilities
.4 Remove site features (fencing, car plugs, etc.)
.5 Remove hard surfaces (hardstanding)
.6 Grade and backfill building area
.7 Dispose of all waste
.8 Provide traffic control as needed
.9 Document utility isolation (as-builts)
Utility Decommissioning
.1 Decommission wastewater system
.2 Decommission water system
.3 Decommission water well
Earthworks and Site Cleanup
.1 Clear and grub site
.2 Strip and stockpile topsoil
.3 Excavate and recontour camp area
.4 Dewatering of lagoon and offsite disposal of wastewater
.5 Excavation of sludge material and storing for beneficial re-use/land application
.6 Backfilling of lagoon with surrounding berm material prior to grading
.7 Land application of sludge material following soil replacement
Site Restoration
.1 Place topsoil (onsite and borrow material)
.2 Seed restored areas
.3 Treat for weed control
.4 Install erosion control (e.g., straw wattles, silt fence)
