The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Boulder, CO, is seeking qualified construction contractors capable of performing sitewide removal, modification, fabrication, and installation of permanent ADA-compliant handrail systems across multiple buildings on the NIST Boulder Campus.
This project is managed by the NIST Facilities Maintenance Division and is intended to bring existing stair and ramp handrail systems into full compliance with the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design and applicable OSHA requirements. The project also includes selective demolition and reconstruction of concrete stair and curb elements at specified locations.
