APEX Accelerators are an official government contracting resource for small businesses. Find your local APEX Accelerator (opens in new window) for free government expertise related to contract opportunities.
APEX Accelerators are funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Department of Defense.
The APEX Accelerators program was formerly known as the Procurement Technical Assistance Program (opens in new window) (PTAP).
This Synopsis describes the Government’s requirement for construction of a new bypass lift station
at Eielson AFB, which is located approximately 23.0 miles southeast of Fairbanks, Alaska.
Work shall include but is not limited to the installation of a new fiberglass wet well, two 15hp
pumps, two actuating valves and a bypass line leading to the new wet well. A utilidor addition
shall be constructed and shall include an access hatch at grade. Due to the shallow water table and
groundwater contamination, the fiber glass lift station basin will be installed on tremie slabs
surrounded by secant pile walls. The new lift station shall be programmed in such a way as to
alternate use with the existing lift station at B2212. Electric heat tape shall be installed around all
new piping. The existing service breaker and generator breaker shall be replaced. The site shall be
regraded to allow for proper drainage and any disturbed areas shall be repaired to match existing
conditions.
