APEX Accelerators are an official government contracting resource for small businesses. Find your local APEX Accelerator (opens in new window) for free government expertise related to contract opportunities.
APEX Accelerators are funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Department of Defense.
The APEX Accelerators program was formerly known as the Procurement Technical Assistance Program (opens in new window) (PTAP).
The purpose of this amendment is to provide industry with notice update:
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Procurement Operations, on behalf of the Office of the Chief Procurement Officer (OCPO) Procurement Innovation Lab, is closing the Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) solicitation for Solutions for Procurement Modernization.
Although the General Solicitation stated that the CSO would remain open for up to 12 months, the Government has decided to close the solicitation based on the substantial volume of responses received. DHS appreciates the significant interest in this opportunity and thanks all vendors that submitted solution briefs and video submissions. The Government received a considerable number of innovative and thoughtful submissions.
This closing does not indicate that the Government has completed its evaluation of submissions received by the solicitation deadline. DHS is continuing its internal review process and is committed to conducting a thoughtful, thorough, and merit-based evaluation of each submission consistent with the solicitation’s stated evaluation criteria.
The Government recognizes that, because of the time required to complete internal reviews, certain proposed solutions, pricing, or other proposal elements may no longer be valid at the time of review. Nevertheless, the Government intends to review all timely submitted proposals and will communicate directly with each submitting vendor regarding the status of its proposal, as appropriate.
No further submissions will be accepted under this CSO. Should DHS determine that a future CSO is appropriate to support procurement modernization needs, the Government may issue a separate announcement on SAM.gov. Interested parties should monitor SAM.gov for future opportunities.
The Government appreciates vendors’ engagement and contributions to DHS procurement modernization efforts.
