Tooele Army Depot (TEAD) requires a minimum of a 3 megawatt (MW) Standby Generator(s) to ensure mission readiness. These Natural Gas generators would provide the 3 MW power with controls to automatically dispatch, in conjunction with, available renewable energy resources and a future battery to complete a Microgrid. The new standby generator will provide energy resilience and security and enable the TEAD-N area to operate in an island mode, when it encounters a loss of power from the primary electric utility feed.
