NOTICE TO BIDDERS
FOR FURNISHING AND DELIVERING THE FOLLOWING TO THE TOWN OF HARRISON, HUDSON
COUNTY, NEW JERSEY: - 3000 TONS, MORE OR LESS, OF ROCK SALT
NOTICE TO BIDDERS is hereby given that sealed Bids are invited and will be received as set forth herein.
ADDRESS FOR SUBMITTING BIDS: Town of Harrison, 318 Harrison Avenue, Harrison, NJ, 07029
EXAMINATION OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Contract Documents may be examined Monday through
Friday, except legal holidays, from 9:00AM to 4:00PM, only at the office of the Town Clerk at the address set
forth above.
OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Contract Documents may be obtained by calling the Town Clerk's
Office at 973-268-2427, free of charge.
BID SECURITY: Bid Security is required in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of
the Bid, but not in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00).
CONSENT OF SURETY: Certificate from a Surety Company is required indicating consent to be bound as surety
and guarantor for performance required under the Contract Documents.
BID SUBMISSION PROCEDURES: Bids must be submitted on the Bid Form contained in the Contract
Documents and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope plainly marked on the outside with the name of project
and the name and address of the Bidder. The Bid must be delivered to the Owner prior to Bid opening at the
above address for submitting Bids. Bids will not be accepted after October 20, 2026 at 11:00am

STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS: Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of: P.L. 1975, c. 127
(NJAC 17:27) (Affirmative Action); P.L. 1963, c. 150 (Prevailing Wage); N.J.S.A. 10:2-1, et. seq.; P.L. 2004, c. 57
(Business Registration); and the Contract Documents.
REJECTION OF BIDS: The Town of Harrison reserves the right to reject any or all bids which fall under certain
circumstances pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2, or to waive any minor or inconsequential discrepancies and
technical omissions in a bid where such is not detrimental to the best interest of the Town of Harrison and
fairness of the bidding process.
