Description View Changes
The purpose of this modification is to:
Answer questions that were asked (see below)
Extend RFQ response date to 12/12/2024 due to questions and answers..

Questions and Answers Below:
Q: The RFQ calls out 13 bldgs but I count 15? Can we verify if it is 13 or 15 please.
A: There are 14 bldgs.
Q: It says there are dry systems in the 3 garages but doesn t say how many. Could we verify how many dry systems per garage?Â
A: There is a dry system in PVS and PVN garages each with 4 risers and a dry system in Bldg B with 2 risers
Q: Do we have a general time for how long the previous annuals, semi-annuals, and quarterly's have taken. Without having a site visit and being able to walk the complex it is difficult to estimate a time for completion and what size team we will need to have working to meet your expectations. Â
A: Annuals and semi annuals historically take 3 days and quarterlies are usually done in 1-2 days
Q: Do we need to keep someone at the panel at all times while performing the test?
A: Anytime water is to be flowed the Vendor will need someone on the panel.
Q: Could you provide any available inspection reports, assessments, or related documents to help us refine the scope of work? Having access to this information will allow us to align our approach with past findings and address all necessary requirements effectively.
A: Information will be available at site walk.
Q: To clarify, the testing is only for the Kitchen Hood Fire Suppression Testing? Other areas are mentioned but would need to get a better idea of what we will be doing exactly.
A: All Fire Suppression at Rocky Mountain Regional Medical Center to include all Kitchen Hoods and all listed in SOW. Information will be available at site walk.
Q: Are all backflows listed in the Scope of Work (SOW) for fire prevention backflows? If not, how many are domestic/irrigation?

A: See attached.

Q: To aid all potential offerors and the government in ensuring all quotes are equally comparable with regards to the scope of services being requested, the current inspection reports will answer many questions and clarify the SOW for all offerors. Typically, in the past when the government provides previous inspection reports, any personal or company information is redacted. Can you please provide last year s inspection reports for system information and counts?

A: Information will be available at site walk.

Q: Are there any special testing frequencies outside of what is required by NFPA 25?

A: No. See SOW

Q: Will we need to provide visual-only inspection frequencies and requirements listed in NFPA 25? An example would be monthly/quarterly visual inspections that may be handled in-house.

A: See SOW. All testing and inspection done by vendor.

Q: When was the last 3-year full trip completed on each dry system? Does that need to be included in this pricing?

A: All 3-year testing will need to be complete during the Base or Option Years. Previous inspections will be available during Site Walk

Q: When was the last 5-year internal inspections completed? Does that need to be included in this pricing?

A: All 5-year testing will need to be complete during the Base or Option Years. Previous inspections will be available during Site Walk

Q: There is no indication of Hose Valves in this SOW. Will there be a need to do any hose valve inspections? If so, can information be provided on hose valves.

A: RMR VA MC does not have Hose Valves or Hoses
Q: Clarity is requested on after-hour times that inspections are allowed to be performed for kitchen hoods. What would these evening hours be?Â
A: After 1800. Work complete before 0330.
