The purpose of this notice is to inform the interested parties that the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), PMA-280 intends to negotiate and award a sole source, firm-fixed-price contract modification to L3 Technologies, 9020 Balboa Ave, San Diego, CA, 92123, to procure pelican cases for Modernized Radios.
L3 Technologies is the designer, developer, and manufacturer of the modernized radios required for the platform. As the only qualified manufacturer possessing the technical documentation, special skills, experience and active production facility required in manufacturing the modernized radios and associated equipment, only L3 Technologies can provide this equipment for the program to meet the Government’s requirements. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency.
