The United States (US) Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance & Special Operations Forces (ISR & SOF) Directorate, Special Warfare (SW) Program Office (AFLCMC/WISN) is conducting market research to identify systems capable of collecting airfield geometric information. Systems of interest enable collection of airfield geometric data in support of Force Projection and air operations. Systems are needed to make precise measurements of surface gradients/slopes, elevations, and obstacles in and around operational areas to include landing zones, drop zones, helicopter landing zones, and forward air refueling points surveys. Additionally, the system(s) must provide accuracy through RTK/GNSS and be able to operate in a GPS-denied environment.
Solutions to this requirement may be traditional man-portable ground-based systems, unmanned ground systems or Small Unmanned Aeriel Systems, as long as the requirements for precise measurement are met.
