The Federal Bureau of Prisons, United States Penitentiary, Atwater, Ca intends to issue a single award for a firm-fixed-price contract to a qualifying entity for the collection, recording, transportation, and disposal of biohazardous, pharmaceutical, hazardous waste. The contractor shall provide all labeled containers, manifesting, and final disposal as outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2025-06
The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 562112. The solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business. The small business size standard for this NAICS code is $47 million in average annual receipts. The anticipated contract type is indefinite delivery requirements contract with firm-fixed-prices line items consisting of one (1) base year and four (4) twelve-month option years. Quotes will be evaluated to which offer(s) conforms to the Statement of Work (SOW) and is the most advantageous to the Government, with past performance and price considered.
Each potential vendor is required per FAR 52.212-3 to complete their representation and certifications via the Online Representation and Certification Applications (SAM) at http://www/sam.gov. The pre-solicitation will be available on or after April 06, 2026 with a closing date of April 20, 2026, and no later than 9:00 a.m., Pacific Standard Time.
This solicitation will be distributed solely through beta.SAM.gov http://www.beta.sam.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be made available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
Vendors that would like to provide an offer must include a signed copy of page 1 of the SF-1449 RFQ #15B61826Q00000005 and must indicate the Unit price and total for the base year and for each additional option years on the SF-1449.
