Gwinnett County is soliciting competitive informal written Quotes from qualified suppliers for the
Purchase and Start-Up of Jet Nozzles for the Department of Water Resources.
Quotes should be typed or submitted in ink and returned to the Attention of Anna West, Purchasing
Associate II. Quotes should be received by 5:00 P.M. June 23, 2026, by email at
Anna.West@GwinnettCounty.com or sent to the Gwinnett County Financial Services - Purchasing
Division – 2nd Floor, 75 Langley Drive, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30046.
Questions regarding quotes should be directed to Anna West, Purchasing Associate II at
Anna.West@GwinnettCounty.com or by calling 770-822-7862 by 5:00 P.M. June 16, 2026. Quotes
are legal and binding upon the vendor when submitted.
Successful contractors will be required to meet insurance requirements. The Insurance Company
should be authorized to do business in Georgia by the Georgia Insurance Department and must have
an A.M. Best rating of A-7 or higher.

reserves the option to negotiate terms, conditions and pricing with the lowest responsive,
responsible vendor(s) at its discretion.

SPECIFICATIONS
KEG Torpedo Nozzles or Approved Equivalent
Those nozzles designed for sewer cleaning applications should meet the following standards and applications:
• Nozzle must have 8 rear facing jet inserts for all around cleaning and no forward-facing jets.
• Torpedo nozzles or like kind should have inserts with angles of incidence of 12° and 18°, should be made
of 300 series hardened stainless steel,
• Torpedo nozzle should be designed to clean 6 -inch lines to 18-inch lines
• Should be suitable for removal of sand, mud, sludge, brick, or other debris found in sewer or storm drain
lines,
• Threaded hose connections should be to NPT specifications
• Should be available with titanium ceramic inserts as an option
• Should be equipped with titanium ceramic insert option
• Should have available as an option verifiable patented fluid mechanics efficiencies that must meet ninety
percent plus (95%+) and be equivalent to KEG Torpedo US Patent # US 6.089.243,
• Titanium ceramic insert option should increase the manufacturer’s warranty to three years on the nozzle
and five years on inserts.
• Units provided should be equivalent to those cleaning type nozzles manufactured by KEG gmbH, of
Burgstadt, Saxony, Federal Republic of Germany, and distributed by KEG Technologies, Inc., of,
Spartanburg, South Carolina or approved equal.
Aqua Power 700 Nozzles or Approved Equivalent
• Controlled speed rotation/direction cleaning should be achieved by utilizing CENTRIFUGL CLUTCHES
• Body should be made of 300 series stainless steel
• The Head should have the following inserts
• Forward facing jet at an angle of 15-degree Jet oscillating by head rotating Used for opening blockages
• Inserts for cleaning Manholes in the front of nozzle head at 80 degrees 1 of these should be used in
cleaning and root cutting the other 2 jets should be plugged
• Nozzle should have 2 jets at 90 degrees for rotational cleaning
• Nozzle should have 2 jets at 100 degrees towards rear of nozzle for additional cleaning and cutting.
• Nozzle should have 4 inserts at the rear of the nozzle at 20 degrees for propulsion
• Nozzle should come 4 skids made of UHMW to make the nozzle slide smoother without scratching pipe
made of PVC and Lined Pipe.
• Should be available with titanium ceramic inserts as an option.
• Should be equipped with titanium ceramic insert option.
• Titanium ceramic insert option should increase the manufacturer’s warranty to three years on the nozzle
and five years on inserts.
• Nozzle should be able to clean and cut in pipe size 6 inch to 15 inch in basic set up
• Nozzle should be able to be adjusted to 24-inch pipe with expansion kit sold separately that skids should
made of UHMW
• All rotating parts should have a (2) two years warranty, inserts should have a (5) five years warranty
• Nozzle should have a weight of 22.5 lbs
• Nozzle width should be 5 inches without skids
• Nozzle width with skids should be 7 inches
• Nozzle should come with serial numbers for ease of tracking in the case of theft or loss
• Rotor mechanism spinning around a main shaft, water driven, and should not require lubrication of any
type for operation.

• Titanium ceramic insert option should increase the manufacturer’s warranty to three years on the nozzle
and five years on inserts.
• Should have six rear facing jets at an angle of 8 degrees as well as an addition six rear facing jets at an
angle of 12 degrees with an optional forward-facing jet at 0 degrees.
• Should have dimensions of 18.25 inches x 4.25 inches and designed for such tasks as cleaning
deteriorated pipes and able to span existing holes in pipes of such condition
