Overview

Summary

The City of Orlando is seeking an experienced and licensed biomedical waste management contractor to provide reliable, safe, and compliant collection and disposal services. City fire stations generate regulated medical and biomedical waste, including sharps, contaminated PPE, and other potentially infectious materials, requiring specialized handling to ensure public safety and regulatory compliance.

The City is seeking a contractor that can:

  • Supply biomedical waste collection containers at the listed City of Orlando locations.
  • Provide timely and scheduled pick-up services tailored to the City's operational needs; collecting and transporting the waste every four weeks.
  • Ensure proper segregation, labeling, transport, and disposal of biomedical waste in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Offer documentation and reporting for tracking and compliance purposes.
  • Demonstrate a strong safety record, certified personnel, and environmentally responsible disposal practices.

This is an opportunity for a contractor to provide services to a public safety organization committed to the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental responsibility. Bidders should have proven experience in handling biomedical waste for healthcare or emergency services facilities.
