The City of Issaquah is requesting proposals (RFP) for an experienced urban forestry consultant to assist in the development of the City’s first Public Tree Inventory and updates to the City’s Preferred Tree List. The scope of work includes collecting data and creating an inventory of public trees within the City’s right-of-way (ROW) and in priority park areas in a GIS format (file geodatabase/feature class or downloadable feature service). The expectation is that the consultant will collect data on a minimum of 15,000 public trees as part of this effort. The City will work with the consultant to incorporate Public Tree Inventory data into its asset management system (Cartegraph). Based on the data collected for the Public Tree Inventory, the consultant shall review and provide updates to the City’s Preferred Tree List based on species diversity goals and climate adaptability.
