Project Description: Project will convert just under 5 acres of currently inactive row crop agricultural field to an early successional native plant community. The project site is in Core Creek Park, Middletown Township. The project includes erosion and sedimentation controls, weed/invasive plant control, seeding of warm season grasses and herbs, planting 35-45 trees with deer protection, and 24 months of maintenance (mowing/establishment checks/invasives control). An add-on option for invasives control in the adjacent forested buffers is requested in bid proposals. Prevailing wage rates apply for bids greater than $25,000. Federal Davis-Bacon act wages do not apply to this restoration project. The project would start as early as summer 2025 and be complete by fall 2027.
