New Maintenance Building

Project Description: Sealed bids for the construction of a 12,880 square foot vehicular garage including wash bay, tool room, office, employee lounge, and restroom will be received online via the PennBid Program (www.PennBid.net) by Brecknock Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania until 10:00 AM, Tuesday, May 27, 2025.
Contract No. 1 – General Construction
Contract No. 2 – Mechanical Construction
Contract No. 3 – Electrical Construction
Contract No. 4 – Plumbing Construction
The bids will be publicly opened and read electronically, via PennBid’s website, at 10:00 AM (prevailing time), same date. Bid results will be available at the end of business day, same date.
Copies of Bidding Documents for New Maintenance Building are available online and at no cost at www.PennBid.net.
NOTE: The Board of Supervisors of Brecknock Township have authorized C.S. Davidson, Inc., to act on their behalf by opening bids. Contracts will be awarded at a special meeting of Brecknock Township.
A bid bond by acceptable surety or a certified check made payable to Brecknock Township in the amount of 10% of the maximum bid must be provided by each bidder with their bid.
Each bidder must be prepared to submit evidence of his qualifications to perform the work.
Notice is hereby given to bidders that all Contracts are subject to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act approved August 15, 1961 (Act No. 442, P.L. 987), as amended.
The Contract Time for this project is one hundred eighty (180) calendar days.
Brecknock Township reserves the right to accept any bid or reject any or all bids.
