Bid Title: RFQ for ENGINEERING SERVICES STORMWATER PLAN REVIEW
Category: Public Works
Status: Open
Description:

City of Joplin is in the process of approving a new CID Development named, “Prospect Village.” This site is generally located south of 20th street between Geneva and Davis Blvd. City staff does not have the capacity to review the stormwater design for this project. The project has a mapped stream bisecting the property. It also has an existing regional detention basin, as well as known contamination on site. In the past, the site was known as International Paper and had Creosote ponds. The conceptual stormwater design includes removing the existing regional detention basin and replacing it with a long, in-stream detention basin. Project is expected to require Corp of Engineers approval and remapping.
