Description
Summary Details
The Supplier will supply 50 decorative streetlights that meet the specifications provided in Appendix B, are consistent with the drawings provided in Appendix C, and are similar to the photographs provided in Appendix D. The District reserves the right to adjust the final order quantity up or down prior to placing the order.
The District notes that it is currently redesigning one of its downtown streets and anticipates an additional order of 15-25 units in 2025. See Section 2.3 of the Opportunity.
The Supplier shall deliver the poles, arms and shrouds to the District’s Pole Yard, which is located within the Summerland municipal boundaries (exact location to be confirmed with the Supplier). The items shall be unloaded by the trucking company with no assistance from the District. There is no loading dock at the Pole Yard.
The luminaires, mounts, and hardware shall be delivered to the Summerland Works Yard, located at 9215 Cedar Avenue, Summerland, BC. District staff are available to assist in unloading with a forklift at this location. There is no loading dock at the Works Yard.

Submission of Quotations
To be considered, Quotations must be submitted via bids&tenders electronic bid submission functionality or by email in accordance with the instructions in the RFQ. Quotations must be received no later than the Opportunity Closing Date & Time. It is solely the responsibility of the Respondent to ensure that the Quotation is received on time. There will be no public opening.
Term of Engagement
The successful Respondent should be prepared to commence work immediately after the Agreement is awarded. The District desires delivery of all streetlights to occur as quickly as possible, and in no case later than August 29, 2025.
Conditions for Participation and Requirements to Request to Participate
Quotations not clearly demonstrating that they meet the following mandatory criteria will be excluded from further consideration in the evaluation process.

The Supplier shall provide the District with proof of the following prior to beginning work on this project:

Commercial General Liability Insurance coverage in the amount of $5,000,000 including coverages for products and completed operations, naming the District as an Additional Insured.

All-Risk Property Insurance coverage covering the Supplier’s property of every description, including work (products) in progress prior to delivery.
