Pre-Bid Meeting Info: There is a pre-bid tour for bidders, which is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., February 5th, 2025 at the Burnsville Water Treatment Plant, 50 River Ridge Court, Burnsville, MN 55337. The pre-bid conference is not mandatory, but interested bidders are encouraged to attend.

Description: The project consists of the removal of GAC and sand media from SWTP Filters 3 and 4, cleaning of filter structure, inspection of the media underdrain system (by Others), installation of sand and GAC media, and commissioning of new GAC filters. In addition, Filters 1 and 2 shall have a small amount of GAC media topped off to bring back to a 24-inch bed depth, and Filters 1 through 8 shall have a small amount of anthracite media to bring back to original bed depth.

Bidders can also view the Contract Documents at either website free of charge.

For this project we will accept only online electronic bids through QuestCDN. Instructions for online bidding are included in the Project Specifications. For electronic bids, electronic bid bonds will also be accepted through Surety 2000 using contract #9495708. The bid bonds must be payable to the City of Burnsville in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of bid, to be forfeited as liquidated damages in the event that the bid is accepted and the bidder shall fail to promptly enter into a written contract and furnish the required bond.

The City of Burnsville reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to award the bid in the best interest of the City. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days.

The Council will consider such bids in the Council Chambers at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2022.

All Bids must be in accordance with the Bidding Documents on file with the City of Burnsville, 100 Civic Center Parkway, Burnsville, MN, 55337 and at the office of Black & Veatch Corporation, 7760 France Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55435.

Neither Owner nor Engineer has any responsibility for the accuracy, completeness or sufficiency of any bid documents obtained from any source other than the source indicated in these documents. Obtaining these documents from any source other than directly from the source listed herein may also result in failure to receive any addenda, corrections, or other revisions to these documents that may be issued.

Bidders must be licensed contractors in the State of Minnesota. Bids will be received on a lump sum basis, including alternatives as described in the Contract Documents. Bid security must accompany each Bid. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Construction Performance Bond and a Construction Payment Bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract.

Contractor and all Subcontractors will be required to conform to the employment requirements set forth in the Contract Documents.
