Sealed bids will be received by the Guilford County School System until 2:00 PM on September 24th, 2026 at 714
Green Valley Road, Greensboro, NC 27408, Room 2A, and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read aloud,
to furnish all materials and labor for the Welborn Academy of Science and Technology HVAC Renovation project.
Please allow sufficient time for this, as late bids will not be accepted.
Plans, specifications, and contract documents will be available August 24, 2026 until bids are opened. Please email
lindsey@ceseng.net with the project name and "Bid Document Request" in the subject line to obtain a digital copy of
the documents.

A brief description of work in the project follows:
Existing vertical floor & horizontal ceiling mounted unit ventilators, ceiling mounted fan coil units and central station
air handlers shall be replaced with new identical units per schedule. Units shall be ordered with factory provided piping
package including control valve & autoflow with isolation valves. If autoflow is not in the package, then contractor
field install it. Hot water boilers, associated pumps and accessories are to be replaced in their entirety.
A highly encouraged pre-bid meeting will be held at the site at 2:00 PM, September 10th, 2026. Attendees should
meet at the main office. This conference is for all potential bidders to examine the existing conditions and to discuss
particular details of the project. Prospective bidders that were not represented at this meeting must email
lindsey@ceseng.net to register for the most current bid information. Bidders must be properly licensed for the work
in accordance with Section 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes.
A 5% Bid Bond and 100% Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds are required for this project. No bid
may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of 60 days.
E-Verify Requirements: This project requires the awarded vendor to comply with the requirements of E-Verify. (U.S.
law requiring companies to employ only individuals who may legally work in the United States - either U.S. citizens,
or foreign citizens who have the necessary authorization.)
The Guilford County Board of Education awards public contracts without regard to race, religion, color, creed, national
origin, sex, age or handicapped condition as defined by North Carolina General Statutes, Section 168A-3.
The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids presented and to waive any informalities and irregularities.
