Annual Water Treatment Program for Cooling Towers at USCG Base Portsmouth 4000 Coast Guard Blvd, Portsmouth VA, 23703.
Contractor is to provide all labor, chemicals, and equipment to maintain the proper water chemistry for the (2) cooling towers located at the Central Mechanical Plant (CMP). Maintaining the proper water chemistry is essential in maximizing the life expectancy of the cooling towers, circulation pumps, controls and associated piping. The efficiency and reliability is also achieved by maintaining proper water chemistry.
Service Visits shall include:
Perform on-site in depth analysis of the water in the cooling tower systems and document the results. The frequency of testing will be on a monthly basis or as needed until chemical levels are stable.
Technician shall review water analysis with CMP personnel.
Verify the proper operation of the pretreatment and “Pulsafeeder” chemical feed/control equipment. Calibrate and adjust as necessary. Provide warranty equipment repair and/or replacement of equipment throughout the duration of the contract.
Provide professional services to keep chemical equipment operating properly by troubleshooting on-site.
Provide all chemicals associated with the treatment of the cooling tower water.
Provide a written service report at each service visit. This report will document the findings and any correctives measures taken to adjust chemical feeders or chemicals.
Provide on-site operator training for CMP staff. Provide inventory levels and note on service report.
Any treatment chemicals that will be shipped to Base Portsmouth in support of this contract, they are to be identified as “Base Portsmouth FED – Water Treatment Contract.” Base Portsmouth FED will need prior notification that chemicals are in route to ensure they are properly received.
