Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE ONLY
This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 5.101 requiring dissemination of information for proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals. The statutory authority for this sole source procurement is prescribed by FAR 6.302-1(a)(ii)(A).
The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to issue a firm-fixed price, sole source award contract to the KBA Engineering P.C. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement demonstrating their ability to provide the requested services, which shall be considered by the agency. Interested sources who submit data are responsible for appropriately marking information if it is proprietary in nature. The Government will not reimburse interested sources for any information provided. No requests for capability briefings will be honored. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested vendors must respond to this notice on or before February 4, 2025, at 4:00 pm Eastern Time by sending an email to yingjie.yeung@va.gov. NAICS Code: 541330 Engineering Services.
Background and Objective: In 2022, the Department of Veterans Affairs issued Contract 36C24222C0137, project 630-21-102 to KBA Engineering P.C. to provide Architect-Engineer professional services to design and prepare design documents for the Brick Façade of VA Medical Center New York Campus Buildings 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. The designs and other contract documents were prepared by KBA Engineering and must be renewed, refreshed, brought up to current codes, and re-signed and sealed.
