Description

The 355 Contracting Squadron is seeking information from qualified manufacturers and suppliers for a Preventative Maintenance for Shredders that meets the following specifications. The purpose of this RFI is to gather information on vendor availability and industry lead times.

"AFSOUTH TS/SCI destruction consists of a DX-8 Destruction Device, a SSMD-2MM Solid State Media Disintegrator, and a LM-1 Degausser. These are three separate devices. Preventative maintenance includes but is not limited to inspecting controls and safety features, cleaning debris from inside the equipment, inspecting belts and liners for wear, inspections of motors and gearboxes, providing warranty repair if required, media screen inspections and cleaning as needed, as well as cutter, grinder, and knife inspections. These devices include many custom fabricated parts that are strictly controlled and certified by the National Security Agency as being approved for TS/SCI destruction and must be routinely maintained by trained technicians. The trained technicians will need TS/SCI clearance to access the machines to maintain them."
