Lower Artichoke Raw Water Pump Station Upgrade. The project involves removing three existing vertical turbine pumps, motors and Magna Drives, and associated electrical cabling and cable supports along with cleaning and inspecting pump cans, and connecting piping and fittings up to the existing valve assembly on the manifold. This work also includes furnish and install three new vertical turbine pumps and motors, and associated variable speed drives, and associated ductile iron pipe and fittings, furnish and install electric cabling from new variable speed drives to new pump motors and new HVAC split units and power cabling in existing electrical room. Demolish and remove an existing potassium permanganate system and furnish and install a new potassium permanganate system. Relocate and reconnect the existing air backwash system. In the electrical room remove one window and one motorized louver in the north wall, remove one fan, frame, and concrete sill in the west wall, block up openings, and finish existing exterior and interior surfaces. Lastly, provide SCADA integration services for instrumentation and controls via the City's preferred integrator.
