Description
CMHC is presently undertaking a project aimed at modernizing its housing surveys in orderto become more efficient, to fill data gaps and to better position itself for the medium to long term future. In the context of this RFI, CMHC wants to explore the use of remote sensing images and other modern techniques to efficiently extract new residential dwelling information in an automated way to partially replace data collected through our SCS and / or to provide
additional coverage (geographic and data wise). By efficiently, CMHC means that the remote sensing data collection approach should be less expensive than the current data collection operations, that the data should be as complete as possible, that the data should be available on a continuous / regular / timely basis and that the related geographic information should be precise with a wide coverage.
