This was combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 and resulted in award of a firm fixed price (FFP) Task order (TO). Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A), the Contracting Officer has determined the TO supports a leased expansion of specialized compute nodes that are only from the original source. The Government solicited for: Lease Upgrade for Penguin Computing-branded High Performance Computing (HPC) Clusters with Penguin Managed Services . This solicitation was a 100% small business set-aside competed amongst authorized resellers only .
