SOLID WASTE AND RECYCLING COLLECTION SERVICES

The City of Joplin, Missouri is seeking proposals from qualified waste management firms to provide residential solid waste and recycling collection services. Sealed proposal packages shall be addressed to the Public Works Director and received at City Hall at 602 S. Main Street, Joplin, MO, prior to 2:00 pm on Friday, February 20, 2026. RFPs not received by this time and date will be rejected. A mandatory, in person, pre-proposal conference will be held on January 21, 2026, at 9:00 AM in the 4th floor conference room of City Hall, 602 S. Main Street, Joplin, Missouri.

The Request for Proposal (RFP) and supporting documents are available online at www.joplinmo.org by referencing the bids/projects tab on the left side of the page.  RFP is also available by contacting Chad Weller, Assistant Director of Public Works – Operations, at 417-624-0820, Ext. 1560; picking up in person at City Hall, 602 S Main St, Joplin, MO; or, by writing to the address indicated above. The City will have final decision in all matters regarding acceptance of proposals and the issuance of awards.
