Springfield Hospital Center is seeking the services of a vendor to perform pharmaceutical special (regulated) medical waste and pharmaceutical hazardous drug waste pickup and disposal on a regular and as needed basis for the period of three (3) years, from 2026 through 2029.

Additional Instructions
Written questions from prospective Bidders will be accepted by the Procurement Officer and shall be submitted via eMMA to the Procurement Officer indicated in the IFB Key Information Summary Sheet.
Questions are requested to be submitted no later than Monday, September 14, 2026, at 12:00pm Local time. The Procurement Officer, based on the availability of time to research and communicate an answer, shall decide whether an answer can be given before the Bid due date.

Pre-Bid Conference Details
There will be a pre-bid conference and site visit held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 10:30AM. Individuals will meet at the Administration Building (see campus map) for the pre-bid conference followed by a site visit. To ensure adequate seating and other accommodations at the conference, prior to attendance, vendors must RSVP to the Procurement Officer at lance.wolf@maryland.gov. In addition, if there is a need for sign language interpretation or other special accommodations due to a disability, please notify the Procurement Officer at least three (3) Business Days prior to the Conference date and SHC will make a reasonable effort to provide such special accommodation. Attendees should bring a copy of the solicitation to the pre-bid conference.
