The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) intends to enter into a software licensing agreement with Keystone Systems for their KLAS software solution. The KLAS system is a software tool for the managing, orders, customers, shipping and receiving, and duplication of large print, braille, and recorded format books for DEED's Minnesota Braille and Talking Book Library (MBTBL).
This procurement is a single source purchase because the KLAS system is the only commercially available library management system with the features required for MBTBL. KLAS is a proprietary software that is only maintained by Keystone Systems and is not resold through any available vendor.
