General Project Description: Existing 2-Story Building to be partially demolished with retained portion of existing building (West Wing) converted to community uses and offices. New construction addition (East Wing) to contain multipurpose rooms, event space, and roof deck with associated support spaces for a total of approximately 17,000 SF.

Key Milestones & Schedule:

Schedule to be confirmed with the City’s Project manager; adjustments may be made to align with the building construction timeline (currently January 2026 through April 2028).

Calendar of Events/RFP Timeline:

Listed below are the important dates and times by which the actions noted must be completed. All dates are subject to change by the City of Alhambra. If the City finds it necessary to change any of these dates or times prior to the proposal due date, the change will be accomplished by addendum.

Issue NIB: Monday December 15, 2025

Last day for questions: December 30, 2025

Publish response to questions: January 8, 2026

Proposals Due: January 15, 2026

City Council Approval: TBD ~ February 2026

Overview:

Overview: The City of Alhambra is requesting proposals for inspections & material testing services for the Alhambra Community Center Project located at 1200 S 7th Street Alhambra, CA 91803. The purpose of this work is to perform all special inspections & material testing throughout the duration of the project.

It is the City’s intent to select a highly qualified firm capable of providing special inspection and testing during the construction of the Alhambra Community Center Project.

The proposal must meet the requirements described herein and be received at the address listed above, no later than Thursday January 15, 2026, at 10:30am.

The proposal should be submitted in a sealed and labeled envelope, with the fee proposal in a separate, sealed envelope.

Responses received after the deadline will not be included in the evaluation process. All inquiries regarding this NIB must be submitted in writing to the email listed below.

Submission of hard copy proposals:

Complete written proposals must be submitted in sealed envelopes, with a separate envelope for the Fee Proposal no later than 10:30am PST on Thursday, January 15, 2026.

The outside of the proposal package shall be prominently marked with the following identification:
