Sealed bids will be accepted until Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Bids may be submitted via Certified
or Registered Mail with Return Receipt Requested to P.O. Box 520, Napoleonville, LA 70390 or hand delivered to
the Assumption Parsh Police Jury Administrative Office, 4813 Highway 1, Napoleonville, LA 70390. Sealed bids
may also be submitted via the Assumption Parish Police Jury website (www.assumptionla.com).
Bids to be opened at 2:00 p.m. on the same day in the Assumption Parish Police Jury Administrative Office.
Specifications and Contract for the above are available and can be picked up at the Police Jury Administrative
Office at 4813 Highway 1, Napoleonville, LA.

CONTRACT
MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS
REMOVAL & DISPOSAL
OF DERELICT VEHICLES AND JUNK
SCOPE OF WORK:
The Contractor shall be required to REMOVE & DISPOSE of a derelict vehicle and/or junk located as stipulated on
notice.
102 Peterville Lane, Belle Rose, LA 70341 - The removal and disposal of torn down mobile home.
Contractor agrees that proper disposal methods be utilized in the process of any such removal & disposal; with strict
adherence given to any and all applicable local, state and federal law(s). It is acknowledged by Contractor that the
burning of any debris, and/or the burying of any debris, is NOT an acceptable method of disposal.
Contractor acknowledges that the actions referenced herein (removal & disposal) may involve certain inherent risks,
including (without limitation) the risk of death, serious personal injury and damage and/or loss to personal property.
Contractor agrees to assume all such risks, as well as any and all other risks involved in this undertaking. Contractor
also agrees to hold harmless, save, indemnify, release and discharge the Jury and all of Jury’s agents,
representatives, assignees and successors in interest, as well as any and all other persons or entities that may
exercise control over this project, as well as any and all other persons or entities that might have any liability
whatsoever to the undersigned (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any and all damages, actions,
claims and liabilities, whether known or unknown, anticipated or unanticipated, suspected or unsuspected, relating to
or arising from the actions referenced herein (removal & disposal) - to the fullest extent permitted by law. Contractor
agrees that laws of the State of Louisiana, under the 23rd Judicial District Court alone, shall govern the rights and
obligations of the parties expressed herein - and the interpretation, construction and enforceability thereof.
The Contractor shall be required to submit a copy of their Certificate
of Insurance relative to Worker’s Compensation & General Liability,
and a copy of their Occupational License upon submitting the bid.
Please remember coverage must be maintained during the full
duration of the project.
Contractor hereby agrees to BEGIN WORK within Fifteen (15) days of notification by the Police Jury and
COMPLETE WORK within Thirty (30) days.
GENERAL:
Payments will be made within Thirty (30) days from receipt of invoices upon receipt of substantial completion
authorized by Parish Manager or Parish Foreman. Receipt from the disposal method or location will also be required
before payment is released.
All bids must be sealed, marked “Bid – Removal & Disposal” and addressed or delivered to the Assumption Parish
Police Jury, 4813 Hwy 1, Napoleonville, Louisiana 70390.
TIED BID PROCEDURE as adopted and approved by the Assumption Parish Police Jury requires that if bids come in
for the same amount, for the same product or service, preference shall be given to the bidder whose firm has its
principal place of business in Assumption Parish then to the bidder whose product is locally made or obtained. If
there is no distinguishing factor, bids will be broken by the flip of a coin with each bidder given the opportunity to be
present for said flip.
The Assumption Parish Police Jury reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities and to make the
award for the above to the best interest of Assumption Parish.
