The TOWN OF LONGMEADOW, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Pre-Qualified Contractors only for the Longmeadow Middle School Building Project for Longmeadow Public Schools in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by JONES WHITSETT ARCHITECTS, INC. The Construction Manager at Risk for this construction project that contracts will be awarded through is FONTAINE BROTHERS.
The Project consists of but not limited to: The work estimated to cost $350,000.
Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 §44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 §26 to 27H inclusive.

General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work, , and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement.
Filed sub-bidders must be DCAMM certified for the trades listed below and bidders must include a current DCAMM Sub-Bidder Certificate of Eligibility and a signed DCAMM
Sub-Bidder’s Update Statement.

General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (including all alternates), and made payable to the TOWN OF LONGMEADOW. Include an electronic copy of the bid deposit with your bid submission.
The Contractor and all subcontractors (collectively referred to as “the Contractor”) agree to strive to achieve minority, women and veteran workforce participation. The Workforce Participation benchmark is set at 6.9% for women and 15.3% for minorities and 3% for veterans. The Workforce benchmark percentages are a statutory requirement under MGL c. 149 § 44A(2)(G).
A 100% Performance Bond, and a 100% Material & Payment Bond is required with contract awards.

The Awarding Authority for the Town of Longmeadow reserves the right to reject any and all bids received, and to waive minor informalities, and to award contract(s) in the best interest of the Town for trade work of this bid that is then awarded through Fontaine Brothers, the Construction Manager at Risk contractor for the project.
