Caledonia CCP Pump Station Renovation
Columbus, MS
Sealed bids will be received by the Columbus Light and Water Department, Columbus, Mississippi on the
second floor conference room at the Columbus Light and Water Department, 420 4th Avenue South,
Columbus, MS 39703, until 10:00 a.m. Local Time, on August 25, 2026, for supplying all labor and materials
(as specified) necessary for the Caledonia CCP Pump Station Renovation.
The principal item of work under the Base Bid are as follows:
The installation of a new electrical building (E-House 1) containing the following electrical and
instrumentation components for Pump Nos. 1 & 2:
Electrical house,
Electrical equipment including automatic transfer switch,
Variable frequency drives (VFDs), and
Programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Principal item of work included under the Additive Bid Item No. 1 are as follows:
The installation of a new electrical building (E-House 2) containing the following electrical and
instrumentation components for Pump Nos. 3 & 4:
Electrical house,
Electrical equipment including automatic transfer switch,
Variable frequency drives (VFDs) and
Programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Principal item of work included under the Additive Bid Item No. 2 are as follows:
Removal and replacement of Pump Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 4 check valves and required piping modifications.
Principal item of work included under the Additive Bid Item No. 3 are as follows:
Supplying and delivering to sign a vertical turbine treated water pump with electric motor.
Principal item of work included under the Additive Bid Item No. 4 are as follows:
Supplying and delivering to sign a vertical turbine treated water pump with electric motor.
The above general outline of features of the work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the
Contractor to perform all work and furnish all labor, equipment and materials required by the specifications
and/or the drawings referred to therein.
A pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m., Local Time, on August 5, 2026 at Reynolds R Ridgley
Wastewater Treatment Plant, 168 Yorkville Road West, Columbus, MS 39702.
CERTIFICATE OF RESPONSIBILITY: Each contractor submitting a bid in excess of $50,000.00 must show on his
bid and on the face of the envelope (or the first page of an electronic bid submittal) containing the bid, his
Certificate of Responsibility Number, as required by Section 31-3-21 and 21-3-15, Mississippi Code of 1972.
If the bid does not exceed $50,000.00, a notation so stating must appear on the face of the envelope (or the
first page of an electronic bid submittal).
EVIDENCE: No bid will be opened, considered or accepted unless the above information is given as specified.

Sealed envelope proposals shall be deposited with the Columbus Light and Water Department prior to the
hour & date herein before designated. Electronic bids shall be accepted, if received prior to the bid date &
time.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within ninety (90) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
Columbus Light and Water is committed to providing opportunities for minority and women-owned
businesses (MWBEs). The award of this contract will be contingent upon the Bidder satisfying the CLW goal
of 25% minority business participation. Qualified MWBEs will be considered in the Bidder's Proposal with
evidence provided. All Bidders are encouraged to respond.
Awarding public contracts to non-resident Bidders will be on the same basis as the non-resident bidder's
state awards contracts to Mississippi Contractors bidding under similar circumstances. To ensure that
Mississippi's Golden Rule is followed, state law requires a non-resident bidder to attach to his bid, a copy of
his/her resident state's current laws pertaining to such state's treatment of non-resident contractors.
Each Bidder must deposit with the proposal a Bid Bond or Certified Check in an amount equal to five percent
(5%) of the bid total amount including any additive bid items, payable to the Columbus Light and Water
Department, as bid security. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment Bond and
Performance Bond each in the amount of 100% of the contract amount.
Bid documents are being made available via original paper copy. Plan holders are required to register for an

have a valid email address for registration. Bid documents are non-refundable and must be purchased

The Columbus Light and Water Department hereby notifies all Bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in
any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged and women's business enterprises
will be afforded the full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be
discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
