The Hyannis Fire department (HYFD) is inviting bids from qualified boat manufacturers to design, construct and deliver an approximately 32-foot welded aluminum high-speed landing craft fireboat. This vessel will support firefighting, rescue, towing, diving, and transport operations within the area of responsibility of HYFD. There are specific needs to this build that will give the HYFD the most advantageous outcome during operation. The HYFD is not seeking a vessel that has semi-soft sides or tube style inflations surrounding the hull.
SEE ATTACHMENT
1. The boat shall be fully outfitted, operational and ready for service with an appropriately sized and equipped tri-axle trailer.
2. The trailer shall be properly lit within DOT specifications and have the proper mounts for securing the vessel to the trailer. The trailer will also have a single spare tire affixed.
3. Detailed proof of concept and design drawing must be provided and approved by HYFD prior to the start of building and fabrication.
4. Pricing shall reflect raw material cost at final proposal submission. Final price of materials and labor may only be adjusted following approval by HYFD.
