The City of Alhambra is soliciting Proposals from qualified firms (“Contractor,” “Proposer”) to provide
electrical maintenance and repair services for the City’s multi volt and series street lights, traffic signals,
lighted crosswalks, flashing beacons, speed signs, safety lighting, perimeter lighting, parking lot lighting,
and any other lighting equipment on any building, land, or property owned by the City. In addition, the
Contractor may be asked to perform Street lighting or Traffic signal system modifications along with other
ad hoc work and emergency response as described in Attachment B (Scope of Services). The awarded
contract will be for a one (1) year term that may be renewed for up to four (4) consecutive years after the
first year at the discretion and approval of the City.
In addition, the City of Alhambra is currently in the planning stages of upgrading their traffic management
and communications system. It is anticipated that these improvements will be implemented and fully
operational by first quarter 2027. These improvements primarily include a new advanced traffic
management system (ATMS), new advanced traffic controllers (ATC), video detection systems (VDS), closed
circuit television (CCTV) camera systems, a new video management system (VMS), fiber optic cable, fiber
optic cable equipment (splice enclosures, fiber patch panels, fiber distribution units), wireless radios,
cellular communications for remote signals, and Ethernet Switches.
Proposal Submission
Contractor/ Proposer shall submit five (5) copies of their proposal and one (1) pdf file on thumb
drive. Proposals shall be received no later than 4:00 p.m. on Monday, July 7, 2025, at the
